The
company was founded some 60 years ago and primarily dealt
with property sales by private treaty or auction. As the firm
grew surveying – both Building Society mortgage and full structural
– became the primary part of the business. As time progressed
it became apparent that there was a need for an auction saleroom
within the Portsmouth area and once one was found auction
sales of chattels commenced.
In the late 70’s enquiries for sales came from insolvency practitioners and bailiffs and these types of sales were inaugurated. Since those initial enquiries the firm now deals predominantly with valuations for insolvency practitioners, disposal of redundant stock, probate, insurance, family disputes, company disposals and acquisitions.
We still carry out some estate agency work along with insurance claim fraud investigations and building design, surveying and construction management for numerous clients.
We hold regular fortnightly deadstock
sales in Chichester Market which includes police stolen/recovered
and lost property cycles and goods. We also place goods
on our web site for sale and are happy to include other
peoples goods as well.
For a period of time we used premises in Drayton to sell liquidated stock direct to the public as individual items but, due to the volume of goods, have temporarily withdrawn this service.
